Professional Bio
Prof. Jack (John) Lambert is a Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Genitourinary Medicine at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and Rotunda Hospital in Dublin, and a Full Professor at UCD School of Medicine, Ireland. He has practiced as a consultant for many years with a strong academic and teaching role at UCD, previously serving as Director of the National Isolation Unit for Highly Infectious Diseases at the Mater (2008–2019) and as a member of the HSE National Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Committee, while also contributing to Ireland’s Sexual Health Strategy and GP education on sexually transmitted diseases. Over the past five years, Prof. Lambert has presented widely on Lyme disease and co-infections at EU and U.S. conferences supported by ILADS, and he currently serves as co-chair of the “One Health” Steering Committee of UNA EUROPA, an alliance of 11 European universities.
