ILADS Brochures
We’re excited to announce the the release of three new ILADS educational brochures, developed to support patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals with clear, evidence-based information on Lyme disease and tick-borne illness.
Lyme disease and associated infections can be complex, often affecting multiple systems in the body and presenting differently from person to person. These new brochures are designed to improve awareness, support earlier recognition, and empower informed clinical and personal decision-making.

Lyme Disease: A Bacterial Infection
This foundational brochure explains Lyme disease as a bacterial infection transmitted by ticks. It covers early and late symptoms, diagnostic challenges, treatment considerations, prevention strategies, and what to do after a tick bite. Ideal for patient education, community outreach, and clinical settings.
Tick-Borne Diseases Other Than Lyme: What You Need to Know
Ticks can transmit more than one infection in a single bite. This brochure highlights common tick-borne co-infections—such as Babesia, Bartonella, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Powassan virus—and explains why co-infections can complicate diagnosis, worsen symptoms, and delay recovery. Includes a helpful comparison table summarizing symptoms, transmission, and treatment considerations.
Psychiatric Lyme: What Every Mental Health Specialist Should Know
Lyme disease and tick-borne infections can significantly impact mental health and neurological function. This brochure focuses on the neuropsychiatric manifestations of Lyme disease, common misdiagnoses, diagnostic red flags, and the importance of considering underlying infection in treatment-resistant or atypical psychiatric presentations. A valuable resource for mental health professionals, clinicians, and families.
Brochures are available in packs of 100 and are $30/pack, plus shipping. Limit 2 packs per order (per title) to help manage inventory.
